Canada is known for many things but nothing is more notable than the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Come to Table Rock Centre, located at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls during the summer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to meet a RCMP officer for photos and to answer questions. Description:
Fort Erie’s signature Bicentennial event will be the Grande Military Parade and Tattoo on Saturday June 23. This event will be the largest Grande Parade in North America, comprised of over 50 military marching bands from across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Running from the Fort Erie Sugar Bowl at the corner of Gilmore Rd. and Central Ave, all the way to Old Fort Erie, the parade will also include over 1,000 1812 re-enactors, parade floats, and displays. The jamboree will continue at Old Fort Erie with a Military Tattoo, and the night will conclude with a firework display designed to replicate the battles fought 200 years earlier.
