[10:00am] Bicentennial War of 1812 Opening Ceremonies
- Description:
- The public is invited to gather at Queenston Heights, to commemorate the Declaration of War, and reflect on the beginning of the conflict that helped shape Canada. Join community leaders for this historic occasion under the shadow of Sir Isaac Brock’s monument, with a presentation by the Six Nations Legacy Consortium to follow.

- Led by a member of the Geology Society in a journey back in time as you explore the history of the Niagara Glen. You will explore and study the various geological features that contribute to this unique environment. This walking tour will take you deep into the Niagara Glen and will require appropriate attire.

[11:00am] RCMP Officer Meet and Greet
- Description:
- Canada is known for many things but nothing is more notable than the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Come to Table Rock Centre, located at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls during the summer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to meet a RCMP officer for photos and to answer questions.

[5:30pm] 2012 Brock Ball
- Description:
- Commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 with this exciting event. Presented by the Museum and held at Fort George, the Brock Ball attempts to recreate the dinner that was held the night War was declared. Guests will enjoy period decor, music, and a four course dinner catered by Queens Landing Hotel.
Tickets are $200 each and are more than 3/4 sold! Period costume is encouraged but not mandatory (black tie otherwise). Call 905-468-3912 for tickets and information.
